Do you have questions about Sugar Bowl National Ski Patrol?  You will most likely find the answer here.

Q: Who are the Patrollers?
A: The Sugar Bowl National Ski Patrol is an extremely diverse collection of volunteers who share a common love of the outdoors and snow sports. They range from doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals, to firemen, teachers, lawyers, musicians, engineers, programmers, accountants, physicists, builders, microbrewers, and business people of all stripes. All are brought together by a willingness to help the public spend time on the snow in a safe manner. Our patrollers — all students in the “work hard, play hard” school — are outgoing, friendly, and work well as a team.

Q: What is the time commitment?
A: The minimum requirement to remain an active patroller is 14 days during the season. We have a 2-day refresher in the fall before the mountain opens which is also required. The current average number of days patrolled is 18, and some members patrol as many as 50 days per season.

Q: Are there any benefits in return for patrolling?
A: As a basic patroller in good standing, you and the members of your immediate family receive season passes to Sugar Bowl. In addition, you will receive a meal card (for your personal use only). If you are unmarried, you will receive a comp-pass for every day you patrol. After 14 days, married patrollers start accruing comps, and unmarried patrollers get 2 comps for each day patrolled.

Q: How do I join?
A: For more details about joining, visit the “Joining the Patrol” web page!
